I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer while everyone is getting revved up & excited for fall! But, I’m feeling sad. Summer season just blew by & we really didn’t get to enjoy the sun, heat, beach, & most of all, moments to relax. This is our busy season & we work extreme hours during the summer months. That is just the nature of the business with so much to coordinate, organize, plan, prepare & perform. And, there always seems to be one, if not, two unforeseen surprises thrown in just to test our sanity & ability to cope.
Don’t get me wrong, the change in colors is striking! Feeling the cool, crisp air, apple picking, savoring apple cider donuts, sniffing the first whiffs of smoke coming from fireplaces…. it’s all still so extraordinary to me. How could I not get excited for fall? I live in one of the most recognized places on earth to witness the green leaves change to incredible array of vibrant colors! New England has the most breath-taking falls with so many world-renowned scenic car rides, trails, hikes, bike rides & fruit-picking farms to appreciate all of the foliage.
Still experiencing a few more warm days is what motivated me to pull out my brightest, whitest look that screams summer!!! These are probably my last days to enjoy true summer looks. But, I have a theory: Keep bringing out my summer clothes, Mother Nature gets the hint, offers up extra days of sun & warm temperatures & I have single-handedly forced an Indian Summer here in New England!!! Hehehehe, like I have control!
I’m an Okie (from Oklahoma) & I grew up with hot, dry summers. If it’s under 70°, you will mostly likely hear me whine, “It’s so cold!” If it’s 90 degrees & 90% humidity, I’m happiest!
This Michael Hill watch is chic, sharp, goes with everything & has been on serious rotation during the summer months. Layering a simple, silver bracelet looks so polished.
My clutch actually has a thin little strap that I tucked inside, so I feel like I have 2 purses in one! This find was from an adorable vintage store in St. Augustine, Florida.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt this girly, even added a red stain to my cheeks & lips & did you see my toes?!?! When hubby reacts, you must have done something different…. let’s hope “good different”!
Well, here is my take on “White after Labor Day”! Maybe, I will try to sneak in one more…..
- Off the Shoulder Top: Shein
- Skirt (seasons past): Zara
- Sandals: Shein
- Watch: Michael Hill
- Bracelet: Michael Hill
