In my last blog post, I shared some lifestyle changes my husband & I have been making over the past several months. We hope with a few tweaks, we will make a positive impact in our lives, the lives of others & our planet.
There were several reasons for our transition in lifestyle, but the main purpose is to reduce our spending & save more for our future.
In an attempt to reduce spending, versatility in your closet is key. Having a ton of standout items that don’t play well with the rest of your wardrobe is useless. Finding ways to wear one piece with different looks & throughout each season is so important. With endless ways to wear one item, we will have more money to place in our little piggy bank.
I’m showcasing a 2nd look with my H&M slipdress I purchased earlier this year. Wearing a thin, lightweight sweater underneath versus over the top is another way to add layers, show off the texture & lace in the dress & stay warm on those chilly days…. & it was freezing during this shoot!
This turtleneck sweater is the most gorgeous shade of pink, almost mauve. It is super soft, fitted through the body & arms, so it is great for layering & tucking into pants & skirts.
My little nose was getting cold, actually my entire body 😁 I look like Rudolph!
I love faux fur coats & this one from ASOS is one of my favs. Besides being super stylish, the longer length keeps me toasty & cozy. The neutral color is great as it matches with so many looks in my closet. See!!! One item, endless ways = more money in our piggy bank!
The metallic trend is huge this season, but I wasn’t feeling too brave. Instead of going for an expensive top or skirt, trying a small accessory was a great way to give this a try…. on sale, too!
