“What you wear should make you feel amazing” – Smash + Scott
What is most important for you when shopping for clothing & when getting dressed everyday? Those go hand & hand because what you purchase should seamlessly coordinate with pieces you already own. For myself, shopping should be effortless & what I purchase should have versatility.
As many of you know, I’ve been on a budget-free journey for the last 3 months, so having versatile pieces is crucial. This has allowed me to have as much creativity in my closet when it comes to putting outfits together. I choose pieces that can be utilized year round, layered over or under other items & take on an entire different vibe depending on the occasion. That is why my Smash + Scott tattoo crewneck tunic has become a favorite in my wardrobe.
We’re enjoying the last few days in St. Augustine making the most of the weather & enjoying time with friends. Always on the hunt for live music, this was the outfit I choose to meet friends for happy hour & listen to some great tunes!
This ensemble is a little edgy & sexy which is a tad out of my realm, but I feel unbelievably comfortable & every look you choose to wear should do just that! A stylish look should still possess all the feeling of comfort.
Smash + Scott absolutely endorses that motto!
With my monkey arms, I so appreciate the longer length. There is the perfect amount of stretch in the fabric, so it can be worn straight (like I chose) but also gives you room for ruching. You might not be able to tell in the photo, but the fabric is sheer & that certainly adds a bit of sexiness to the tunic.
Olivia & Sandra, the co-founders, behind Smash + Scott took over 2 years to research, collaborate & develop a luxurious, flattering clothing line to compliment any size for any age. Each individual piece is timeless, well made & accommodates a broad range of sizes & the best part they are made in New York City!!! They are here to celebrate all different body types, ages & style aesthetics.
The tattoo print is edgy, but you can create a fun & playful outfit or even something sophisticated & suitable for work. I have a ton more styling ideas up my sleeve!
- Layer under a demin pimafore dress or strapless denim dress
- Layer a lace cami underneath & tuck into a pencil skirt
- Lace bralette underneath with cropped kick flares
- Stretch bodycon dress underneath, add Converse shoes! Boom!
- Layer under a spaghetti-strap slip dress
- Perfect cover-up for by the pool
How would you style something sheer? How would you layer your tunic? Love to hear all of your styling ideas!
